Danielle Collins and Madison Keys mathematically wrapped up United States' singles spots for the 2024 Summer Olympics on Monday when Emma Navarro lost her round of 16 French Open match against Aryna Sabalenka.

No. 10-ranked Collins and No. 12 Keys held solid leads over the 24th-ranked Navarro entering the French Open. But after Collins lost in the second round and Keys went out in the third, Navarro could have passed at least one of them by reaching the final.

The WTA rankings after French Open play concludes is the formula used to decide the four singles spots for the U.S. team. Collins and Keys join No. 3 Coco Gauff and No. 5 Jessica Pegula on the team. Pegula didn't play in the French Open due to injuries.

Navarro will be the first alternate in case of a withdrawal.

A country must report its entries by June 19. The Olympics tennis events will be held from July 27 to Aug. 4 at Roland Garros in Paris, the same site as the French Open.

On the men's side, No. 12 Taylor Fritz, No. 14 Tommy Paul and No. 15 Ben Shelton clinched singles berths earlier in the year. But according to U.S. coach Bob Bryan, Shelton has decided to skip the Olympics to play in tournaments during the U.S. hardcourt season.

No. 26 Frances Tiafoe and No. 28 Sebastian Korda clinched spots during the French Open. No. 46 Chris Eubanks is the first alternate.
