Nepal Women’s struggles: Battling to a modest total

Nepal faced significant challenges throughout their innings, ultimately posting a total of 108/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Their innings faltered from the start with the early dismissal of Samjhana Khadka for just 4 runs. Sita Rana Magar provided a brief period of stability with a patient 26 off 30 balls, but crucial contributions were lacking from other key players, including captain Indu Barma and Kabita Kunwar, who were dismissed for low scores. Puja Mahato’s 25 off 32 balls and Kabita Joshi’s late surge, scoring 31 not out off 23 balls, were instrumental in pushing Nepal’s total to a somewhat competitive figure, but it proved insufficient against Pakistan’s formidable chase.
