The Colombo Strikers, batting first, set a target of 160 runs for the Kandy Falcons. Sadeera Samarawickrama anchored the innings with a 62-run knock of 45 deliveries, helping the Strikers reach a respectable total.

Dunith Wellalage also contributed a crucial fifty-run partnership for the 6th wicket to pull Colombo out of trouble. Mohammed Hasnain was outstanding with the ball for the Falcons, taking three crucial wickets, while Wanindu Hasaranga picked up two wickets while conceding only 21 runs in his four overs.
